How will that hold against a rock? What's nice is you could use it more like a chain guide, all you need is something for the inside and your 1x9 just became schweet!
I'm assuming that a good stiff rock would wreck it. But at least you'd get one hit out of it. Really more of a chain guard. I think the original poster said it was to keep his pants out of the chain on his commuter bike, although they could still get greasy.
